Consistency is the key when it comes to healthy eating and losing weight.  Balanced, healthy eating plays a high role in how we look, how we feel and what we can do.  It is an influence that we can control by consuming all the nutrients in the correct quantities and proportions.

Resistance & Strength Training

Using weights and machines increases muscle mass which causes a corresponding increase in your metabolic rate.  Improving your strength, condition and quantity of lean muscle within your body expends a greater amount of energy.  We want more muscle in the body because muscle burns more fat which decreases fat accumulation and increases metabolism even at rest.

It is important to have strong core muscles because it makes physical activities much easier to do.  Weak core muscles contribute to poor posture, lower back pain and muscle injuries.  Fitness enthusiast and athletes experience more fatigue, less endurance and more injuries with a weak core.
